So much of what we do is online; we monitor our bank accounts, stay connected with friends and family, and even adjust our thermostat. Why work with a home care company that doesn’t allow you to monitor your services the same way? If you hire a caregiver for your elderly father who is living with dementia how will you know what happens when you’re not there? I get this question all the time, “how do you know the caregiver is actually working and not just sitting on the couch, or worse, not even showing up?” Great question, how do you know? We know because our employees use simple GPS technology on their smartphones to clock in for their shift. They are not able to clock in without actually being in the client’s location. Simple! We take it a step farther though, we have our caregivers document what they have done throughout the day when they clock out of their shift, so families members with access are able to login to our secure portal and see what happened during the shift. I would certainly expect this level of accountability and transparency for my own family, and you shouldn’t settle for anything less.
